BAYERN WITHOUT DUO FOR BREMEN CLASH

Reigning European champions Bayern Munich will have to navigate the upcoming German Bundesliga meeting with Werder Bremen without two of their most important players. The Bavarian giants host Werder Bremen and the starting XI duo of Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich won't be available because of respective injuries.


Canadian international Alphonso Davies has been a revelation for Bayern Munich at left-back and has become a key member of their defence in recent months. He was one of the best defenders in the Champions League last season as Bayern Munich beat all other challengers to win the competition. The 20-year-old has been sidelined since he tore ankle ligaments in the Bundesliga win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of October.

BOATENG TO FINALLY LEAVE BAYERN?

German side Bayern Munich are not keen on extending the contract of Jerome Boateng, per multiple reports. The player had said he would be happy to remain at the club under coach Hansi Flick after having issues with former coach Niko Kovac.

Boateng played a decent role in the team that ended up with the treble last season. The club had once suggested to the player to leave but he said he wanted to remain. This time, it is coming like a shock to the player and his management.

Bayern Munich will be focusing on Leroy Sane after the DFB Pokal final against Bayern Leverkusen on this day. Bayern manager Hansi Flick was glad on welcoming Sane on board to the German club but his current focus needs to be in the final.
