BREMER: BAYERN HOLD POSITIVE TALKS
German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly held positive talks in their quest to sign Torino defender Gleison Beemer. This is according to the report from Sky Germany which stated that Bayern Munich have held talks over a possible transfer for the Brazilian player.
It is almost certain that Bayern will sign a new defender in the summer following the news that German player NiklasSule will leave the club at the end of this season. The centre back already has an agreement in place to join Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Torino defender Beemer is said to be on the list of defensive targets at Bayern Munich ahead of this summer's transfer window. He could be the direct replacement for the aforementioned Sule at the Allianz Arena. Torino are yet to receive an offer from Bayern for Bremer, but the Bavarian giants have held positive conversations.
Bayern Munich want to move early in the summer to wrap up his signing amidst the interest from some other big clubs on the European football scene. Apart from the Bavarian giants, big clubs such as Inter Milan, AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Napoli are also keen on the Torino player. Four of the aforementioned five clubs are from the Italian Serie A having seen the 24-year-old centre back in close quarters. The fifth team is managed by an Italian manager in Antonio Conte. Bremer has been one of the best central defenders in the Italian top flight this season.
Bremer recently put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, but that won't stop him from leaving the club if the right offer comes in the summer. The defender is open to testing himself at a higher level and Torino will demand €40m for his signature. It remains to be seen if Bayern Munich would be ready to offer the aforementioned amount for him.
