Joachim Loew gives the go-ahead for Leroy Sane to join Bayern Munich

Germany head coach Joachim Loew has said that Leroy Sane could benefit from a potential summer move to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. The young attacker has been in the ranks of Manchester City for the past three seasons but his future has been brought under uncertainty after finding himself regularly on the bench during the backend of the campaign.

Speaking to SportBild, Loew indicated that Sane could enjoy the prospect of returning to the German top-flight with Bayern, considering the current situation under Pep Guardiola, he said: "If the transfer happened it would be a good story for him, for Bayern, for the national team and for the Bundesliga."

Sane bagged 10 goals and 10 assists for the Citizens during the recently-concluded campaign as they became the first-ever team to secure a domestic treble in England. In this, the German was particularly crucial during the Premier League campaign where he scored a defining winner against Liverpool, which split the difference between the teams at the top.

At the present moment, Guardiola seems settled with the combination of Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva for the frontline position and it appears that Sane may have to stick with a rotational role for the forthcoming campaign. However, that could change, should he push for a move elsewhere and Bayern appear the front-runners to pursue him.

In a recent interview, Bayern CEO Uli Hoeness confirmed that the club are looking at the prospect of signing Sane with the assurance of regular gametime. The Bavarian giants have recently parted ways with veterans Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben after the expiry of their respective contracts and that has paved the way for Sane to secure one of the wider attacking roles.

Bayern recently celebrated a seventh league title on the bounce and they have the opportunity to convert the success into a domestic double, should they beat RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal Cup this weekend.
