Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich continue their journey of securing the treble in this season after taking out Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-finals of the DFB Pokal.

After an intense penalty session, Bayern Munich emerged as the victorious side as they have advanced into the semi-finals of the German Cup.

120 minutes passed and the scoreboard remained goal-less and it had to be settled with a penalty shoot-out where Manuel Neuer once again proved why he is the best goal-keeper in the world as he denied Josip Drmic from scoring and helped his team in claiming a 5-3 victory from the penalty session - not exactly against the football betting odds (Link for online betting for UK customers) but it was an important victory all the same.

Bayern Munich are the favorites to win the Bundesliga as they are leading the way in the first spot of the German League and with less than 8 matches remaining, it’s hard to see the team of Pep Guardiola losing their ground.

Meanwhile in the Champions League, Bayern Munich was drawn against Porto in a match where the German team is expected to dominate and claim the victory without much difficulty - the football betting odds (Link for online betting for non-UK customers) are again in theri favour.

Pep Guardiola made history with Barcelona during his first season in charge of the Spanish club as he guided the team to their first treble after winning the Spanish League, Copa del Rey and Champions League all in the 2008-09 season.

The experienced coach is hoping that he can make history by winning the treble once again but this time with Bayern Munich. In the first season where Guardiola took charge of the German club, he managed to lift the Bundeslga and DFB Pokal Cup but the piece that was missing was the Champions League which was won by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are some of the titans that Bayern Munich will have to compete against in order to achieve the treble winning season but their next opponent is Porto.
