Rummenigge Announces Muller Sale

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stunned the club fans by admitting that star striker Thomas Müller could be sold in the summer. There have been a lot of speculation regarding the future of Müller in the last few weeks. The club has been in contract negotiations with the 24-year-old for a while now. However, it looks like they are quite far away from agreeing a deal. The future of midfielder Toni Kroos has also been in doubt since the player has only 12 months left on his contract. Müller, on the other hand, has just over two years left on his deal.

It looks like Kroos will be leaving Bayern Munich on a free transfer. In order to avoid the same situation with Müller, the club could sell him according to its chairman. The 24-year-old came through the youth academy during the regime of Louis van Gaal. He has managed to progress in leaps and bounds over the last few years. It has seen him lift all the major titles available at Bayern Munich including the Champions League. Rummenigge has challenged the player to come out with the truth and accept that he wants to leave the club. In such a scenario, the player could be sold.

"If a player does not feel well at Bayern Munich, he should come to my office. We will have to talk about things like that," said the chairman. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club striker’s after the arrival of Robert Lewandowski has been confirmed. The Polish international signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich and will come to the club in the summer on a free transfer. He is set to become one of the best paid player’s German football. Mario Mandzukic has also been linked with a move.
