BAYERN LOSE FIRST PRE-SEASON GAME

German champions Bayern Munich have lost their first pre-season game this summer after they were beaten by reigning Premier League winners Manchester City in the United States of America on Saturday night. In the battle of the champions of Germany and England, it was City who emerged victorious at the end of the friendly game thanks to the first half strike from Norwegian international striker ErlingHaaland.

BAYERN END SEASON WITH WOLFSBURG DRAW

German champions Bayern Munich ended their season with a lot of goals after they played out a 2-2 draw in their last league game of the season. With the result, the Bavarian giants didn't win any of their last three games in the German Bundesliga this season. As a matter of fact, Bayern Munich have not won a league game since they wrapped up their tenth straight Bundesliga title by beating nearest challengers Borussia Dortmund 3-1 at home.

Three-of-a-Kind Footballers

Poker and football might not seem like obvious bedfellows, but you'd be surprised how much they have in common.

Perhaps the most obvious instance of the two coming together is in terminology. Recently, one news outlet described Leon Goretzka's contract situation as contract poker, and you can see why. A poker game is very much like a negotiation; you have your hand, or your requirements, and the club has theirs. You barter, back and forth, like a hand of poker, until someone walks away fairly rich!

BAYERN STILL PLOTTING A MOVE FOR HAALAND NEXT SUMMER

Although it looks like German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have been able to ward off interest from other clubs for their star striker Erling Haaland, it is believed that the idea is for the interested parties to allow the striker to play for at least one more season with the BVB before coming back to try to sign him next summer.

Dortmund indeed were very stubborn in their decision to keep hold of Haaland and had to reject transfer approaches from several clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City this summer. After already selling Haaland's former teammate Jadon Sancho, the German outfit remained insistent that they would not be selling another star player in the same window.

FLICK: MBAPPE WILL WIN BALLON D'OR

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has heaped huge praise on Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé and Insists that the France international attacker will win the Ballon d'Or one day.

Mbappé was a part of the team that faced the German Bundesliga giants in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League clash between the two teams and was also among the goals.

WAS BALLACK THE BEST?

Chelsea and Bayern Munich legend Michael Ballack has been named on the list of the best 20 midfielders in the history of the German Bundesliga. The 44-year-old German football icon was part of the list of the best midfielders compiled by football outlet Bleacher Report.

The criteria used in selecting the top 20 midfield players in the history of the German topflight include the number of goals scored, titles won for club and country. Special importance was attached to the goals scored leading to title success either at club level or country level.

BOATENG TO FINALLY LEAVE BAYERN?

German side Bayern Munich are not keen on extending the contract of Jerome Boateng, per multiple reports. The player had said he would be happy to remain at the club under coach Hansi Flick after having issues with former coach Niko Kovac.

Boateng played a decent role in the team that ended up with the treble last season. The club had once suggested to the player to leave but he said he wanted to remain. This time, it is coming like a shock to the player and his management.

Bayern’s Focus Currently Is On The Final Says Flick

Bayern Munich will be focusing on Leroy Sane after the DFB Pokal final against Bayern Leverkusen on this day. Bayern manager Hansi Flick was glad on welcoming Sane on board to the German club but his current focus needs to be in the final. Earlier in this week, Bayern confirmed they have signed their long term target for €60 million from Manchester City. Butthe club doesn’t have much time left to focus on the new signing as they are preparing to take on their rival on Saturday in the second leg of the final.

Brutally dominant Bayern the favourites to win

It took longer than it should, about three months to be exact, but the time for the 65th UEFA Champions League Final has finally arrived. Two of Europe’s most dominant forces, two of the most hyped clubs, are butting heads in Lisbon for the title of the king of Europe.

Paris Saint-Germain has reached the final for the first time in its history, but the Parisians will have to put on an extra special display if they are to win against the most impressive team in the world right now. That’s none other than the absolutely dominant Bayern Munich, which seems ready to saw a sixth star over its emblem.

Japan’s Long-Term Love Affair With Bayern Munich

It's no secret that Bayern Munich is one of the most popular teams around the world, but what may surprise fans is that this German club actually has a strong presence in the East. Those who follow international football know that Japan continues to be one of Asia's top contenders, with several international clubs finding a solid fan base within the country — Bayern being one of them.

Japan and Bayern Munich

Last April, the Japanese Football Association and Bayern entered into an agreement that would allow the Bundesliga giants to train young players while also allowing local coaches the opportunity for growth.
