Carlo Ancelotti Not Entirely Happy despite League Title

Bayern Munich managed to win yet another this league title and they did so by managing a spectacular 6-0 win over Wolfsburg.

However, manager Carlo Ancelotti was not extremely happy with this victory, as he admitted that the results of the knockout competitions have left him with a bad feeling about the campaign. Bayern Munich suffered exits in the Champions League and DFB Pokal cup against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund respectively. One of the major tasks for Ancelotti when he took over from Pep Guardiola was to dominate European competitions, while continuing to remain the major force in German football.

The league title alone will not be a major display of the strength, as Dortmund might now be able to claim the DFB Pokal Cup. After having won the league title for several seasons in succession, it has been important for Bayern to do well in the cup competitions. Ancelotti came in with a big reputation after having lifted the Champions League with two different teams.

He also managed to end a long wait for Real Madrid’s 10th European Cup. Following this disappointment, Bayern will be going out all set to dominate Europe next season. The club are expected to hand Ancelotti with a sizeable transfer kitty in order to help him reach the objective.

"I'm really happy -- especially after our difficult period. We deserved to win. We brought in new and fresh players. We had the opportunity, the match point -- Leipzig drew so for this reason motivation was really high.It was a fantastic experience here in the Bundesliga. I think we did a good job this season. I am very lucky to be here.I want to say thanks to this fantastic club, the players and all the fans who have supported us all season. We deserved it because we played good football and were focused," said Ancelotti.
